Malleus let Riddle push him off, a thin eyebrow raising at the proclaimed victory. Still, he kept his distance, watching as the queen began to remove his clothing, eyes following each movement, trying not to get distracted but it was exceedingly hard when those stormy eyes locked with his, playing with him. He watched Riddle finish, crawling back onto the bed, eyes narrowing as he went no further. No, the fight was most certainly not over if Malleus had his way and he pounced, intending to pin Riddle once more. "You have a very odd definition of victory," he remarked, pinning the royal to the bed. "Perhaps I should show you how delicious defeat can taste?" It was always greatly enjoyable when he made Riddle give in to him, a game that never got old. It was such a rare occurrence though and even then, vengeance would come the following night, swift and delightfully painful.

Riddle grunted when he was pinned to the bed, his legs tangled around Malleus', arms on either side of his head, allowing the boy a full view of the body that seemingly drew him in every moment of every day. After being together for so long, Riddle understood the attention Malleus received from nearly every student body in the school. Even teachers, in the past, had remarked on his unnatural beauty. Not that Riddle felt lucky to be with him, he knew that Malleus had a chance to be with anyone and yet chose the one person he met the first night they were in the school, before they became head boys, before these houses split. But Riddle understood how special Malleus was to this school and this world, so special that every knew that Malleus would end up changing the world.
Riddle put his hands over his face, hiding the embarrassment he felt show on his cheeks, "I hate when you taste me!" He exclaimed as he did nearly every time Malleus explored the young queens body and found the tips that were tasty enough to snack on for a long time. That time it took before Malleus became satisfied was the time it took for Riddle to lose his mind. Seeing red was the least of his problems when he was bucking against his lover and begging to be entered. "Defeat can taste like other things." He whispered, removing his hands from his warm face, looking up into the eyes of his heart.

Malleus smiled back, the expression both warm in the face of his love but tinged with desire. "I suppose it could. Perhaps I should sample for myself?" He teased, a hand already snaking up his shirt, gloved hands brushing against skin. "Or perhaps I should just have a brief taste, to leave you wanting?" He enjoyed teasing Riddle so much, watching the heat flush on his cheeks but he also liked seeing those eyes cloud over in lust. He moved his lips above Riddle's, just brushing against them. "How shall this dragon serve you, your highness?"
Before he could get another word out, there was banging at his door. It took every ounce of control to not let flames explode in the room, chasing away the one who would dare to interrupt them. "Draconia, I know you're in there!" The deep, booming voice of the gym teacher practically echoed in his room and he tried not to growl out a response. "Open up!"
This time, Malleus did growl, practically throwing himself off of Riddle, storming over to his door, his wings vanishing like wisps of smoke but not before throwing the curtains closed on his bed. He took a single second to compose himself, confident that his lover was hidden before opening it, eyes almost blinded by the bright red of the teacher's jacket. "Mr. Vargas. How can I help you?" He asked in his calmest, coldest voice.
Eyes looked down at him and then into his room. "A student reported to me that you can Rosehearts were fighting and now no one can find him. Do you have an explanation?" Malleus resisted the urge to curse under his breath. Clearly someone had gone running at the beginning of the fight and once the vines were gone and no one was there, they had indeed panicked.
"I teleported him to the courtyard. If he is unable to be found, it is because of his own doing, not my own," he replied, mindful that said queen was currently present in his room.
Vargas looked passed him again, eyes landing on the closed curtains but thankfully, he taught gym and not a more intellectual subject. "Alright, carry on!" With that, he went down the stairs, boots booming as he did so, the sound disappearing when Malleus closed the door.
"Have I mentioned how annoying the general population of this academy is?" The dragon remarked, walking back into the room. "They couldn't just mind their own business. Degenerates." His eyes were glowing with anger but he kept his magic under control, despite it.

Finger tips slid up and down his flesh, bringing out small sounds that disappeared between gasps of pleasure. Riddle bit his bottom lip as Malleus whispered those enchanting words the made Riddle want to speak out and demand the night be filling with moans of pleasure that would leave Riddle unable to sit properly and Malleus with marks all over his body that would have to be hidden from the public. "Please- no wanting- just taking- Ah!-" Riddle smacked his hands over his mouth, his heart nearly coming out of his chest as his body recoiled back from Malleus. The banging was so loud he could hear his heartbeats in his ear drums and the boy watched as the dragon moved away from him, teeth bared as the dangerous one controlled his anger. However, Riddle didn't get to see much of the rest when the curtains were closed as they always were when someone came to the door when they were together. But Riddle listened as the door opened and the familiar annoying voice of the gym teacher broke through the calm and sexual tension of the room. Riddle slowly let his hands fall from his mouth and he propped himself up while listening to the two. So people thought Draconia had taken Riddle or killed him? One of those facts was correct but Mr. Vargas wasn't as cunning as the other teachers so luckily no further questions were asked, even after the pause between them.
He listened to the door being shut and as the doorsteps retreated back down the steps, the curtains were ripped open once more and Riddle reached out, petting Malleus' cheek tenderly. He swallowed and glanced towards the door where he was sure there was an unorganised search party out there looking for him as they spoke. Pulling away, Riddle clutched his hand to his chest, looking to the ground. "I should probably go," He said in a quiet voice, hating this as much as Malleus did.

Malleus felt the anger leave his body as soft fingers brushed against his cheek, soothing him. But as Riddle pulled away, voice soft and shy, his heart clenched. Why did they have to wait so long? Freedom was so close and he was growing more and more desperate for it. It wasn't hard for him to imagine stealing Riddle away, damn their responsibilities but his logical side won out in that argument, encouraging him to stay, despite the hardships. "You don't have to," he said, reaching out to hold the hand on Riddle's chest. "We may have to conceal ourselves but we could always go into town?" He suggested, wanting to do something at least with his secret lover.

Riddle looked him over and his attempts to cheer Riddle up, though the pressing matter was the people looking for him. Riddle tightened his grip on Malleus' pale hand, holding it there against his beating heart. "I must go, but..." He looked up at Malleus, "I can meet you in the town, I just need to make sure no one loses their jobs over my disappearance." Riddle held onto the hand while he moved to the edge of the bed but when he got up, he let go to gather his cloak and boots up. Turning towards his lover, he smiled slightly and bowed his head out of respect. "I will see you in an hour at the very most, please wait for me at the clock tower." After that, Riddle slipped his boots on and hurried to the door. The longer he lingered, the more he'd want Malleus, so when his hand took hold of the doorknob, he hesitated and glanced slightly over his shoulder. "You know... my heart is yours." The door opened and Riddle walked out, walking through a wall of cool air and the smell of the rest of the castle that no longer reminded him of Malleus' scent. The door shut and the heaviness remained but the queen hurried down to the rest of the castle to meet with the concerned student body.
It had taken some time to allow his house mates to calm down and stop trying to fight Malleus at the next dinner. If only they knew what had truly happened, would they think differently? These moments made Riddle wonder what would happen if the pair came out as the secret couple that they really were. What would they say? Villains were not supposed to have happy endings.
When Riddle had finally made it away from the others to go to bed, he slipped into clothes that were a little less distinguishable before moving through the corridors towards the side gate that led to the local town. As head boys, they didn't have the same restrictions, curfews and other rules about exiting the castle at night only belonged to those who the staff deemed as too mischievous.
When Riddle opened the door to the outside world, the moon above the trees and the lights from the town were the first things he saw. School could be so limiting at times when the world was barely asleep and yet you were expected to stay inside. One day everyone would be free to roam, one day they'd be able to walk the streets without hiding themselves. He skipped down the steps quickly and his boots hit the dirt path that led down the hill to the bridge that connected to the small town at the base. It was a good few minutes before lights finally reached Riddle as he walked towards the town path lights, but the dark didn't bother him even though he wasn't exactly a villain that absorbed himself in the element. The common misbelief was that all villains like dark things, dead thing, gross things and Riddle didn't fall into any of that. Of course he had killed a fair share of people, but he was no Evil Queen who brought people back from the dead or cooked their bones into potions.
The streets of the town were relativity busy with couples out after their dinners, looking through shop windows at the various things for sale. The town was rather well off, and while they called it a town, it was more like a kingdom without a royal family. Here they had something called a Mayor, who Crowley worked with in order to keep the peace of the town as well as the school. So with hardly any threats, both areas were safe havens for families and young adults. The further he got into the town and its winding cobblestone streets, the more he realised he wouldn't be able to tell what Malleus looked like now. Every time they went out, the boy tried to look different, to tease Riddle, to trick him like the evil being he was.
But this time they had a meeting spot, and the clock tower was just ahead. "Excuse me?" Riddle jerked, startled and turned towards the elderly lady standing at the corner, a basket in her arms. Riddle regarded the woman, hoping to the gods that Malleus was not this woman, but he also didn't trust this wasn't someone else. Malleus wasn't the only one who could turn into people at will, and certain Evil Queen liked to play enough games with people. The woman stared and Riddle said nothing, walking past her, "Excuse me, young man?" Her trembling old voice spoke a little louder this time, probably believing that Riddle hadn't heard her the first time. The young boy finally stopped and his shoulders sank a bit before he turned and looked at her. "Yes, my good woman?" He replied in his most dignified voice.
The lady went to her basket and her hand worked under the blanket for a moment before pulling out a single apple, a bright red apple. "Oh I couldn't help but notice your hair matched this beautiful apple." She held it up to compare and Riddle made a face, yes he knew his hair was bright red, but that was on purpose to match with roses, not apples. "Uh, thank you." He replied, looking off put by the whole thing. She lowered the apple and smiled, "I do hope your wishes come true." The apple was tossed across and Riddle caught it between his hands, looking shocked by the whole thing. He looked at the apple, turning it over, but there was nothing special about it. He looked up to speak to the woman only to find himself standing alone on the street corner. "Wishes, huh?" Riddle, held out the apple thoughtfully. It wasn't impossible for fairies to interfere with humans, especially those who looked out for human destinies. It just seemed odd that the woman knew all of this when Riddle had spoken it to no one. This kind of stuff happened to princesses, not villains. He glanced to the clock tower, reading the time, he had five minutes before the hour struck and it looked like no one was waiting below it. The red head continued forward, still holding the apple and when he stopped in front of the tower, he turned and looked across at the rest of the street. Midnight, five minutes until midnight, midnight was the magical time, one that Riddle didn't trust but his curiosity said otherwise. He turned the apple over in his hand, over and over, thinking about his wishes, his dreams. What he wanted most was Malleus, Malleus and himself to be out of school, for Malleus to steal him away so their fates would never have to follow through. Two minutes to midnight, Riddle looked up at the sky, the moon, the clock tower and slowly raised the apple to his lips. As soon as his teeth bit into the apple, his stomach lurched and he drew back with only his teeth marks breaking the ruby red skin. That couldn't be bad right? He could taste the sweet juice on his lips. BONG! BONG! BONG! The clock tower began to ring and Riddle felt his heart skip. It was midnight- it was... He stumbled, letting the apple drop from his finger tips, it rolled across the ground and finally came to a stop as Riddle backed up against the wall, his head swimming.
Suddenly from his left, a woman screamed, pointing towards the sky. People began to run past her and a burst of green flames overtook an entire rooftop of a building. "HE'S HERE!" They shouted, running across the street. Riddle's head was still swimming, he could barely think straight. Who was here? Why did those flames seem so familiar? A child and her mother were running by when the child tripped, falling to the ground, the mother stopped and started to pull the girl to her feet. Suddenly a roar broke through the screaming crowd and the flames spread across the horizon of houses. Riddle's head was less busy now, he hurried forward, nearly tripping as he got to the mother and her child. "W-What is happening!" He shouted over the crowds. The mother looked to him with wide eyes and screamed, pointing at him, now dragging her child back. She picked the little girl up and ran away. Riddle stood dumbstruck by it but logically this meant someone from the school was on another rampage, this happened once a year it seemed, but it didn't take long for the heads of house to calm the person down. This was different, this person was getting out of hand, so Riddle began to run towards the roar and in the opposite direction of the crowds of humans.
Breaking through the crowd towards the centre square, Riddle noticed something odd about how people stood compared to him, he was no longer below the height of everyone's shoulder, actually he seemed a bit taller than that, standing a least half a foot taller now. Was his boots that good? He looked down and long hair brushed past his shoulders, wait- long hair? His hand reached for the waist length red hair that was freely flowing behind him. Suddenly someone shoved past him, breaking Riddle out of his confusion. He looked up and the heat of flames seared at his flesh. He backed up, arm up as a shield. Another roar, more screaming, this didn't sound like anything but what everyone always dreaded, a dragon attack. But dragons weren't real anymore, people could turn into dragons, but no more than that. Overhead a pair of wings created a large shadow on the ground and Riddle was torn between looking at the black form in the distance that looked too much like a dragon, and the person who looked painfully familiar. Malleus? Riddle ran into the square and watched the fae king land on a rooftop, clearly watching the chaos he had created. Riddle saw someone running in his direction and his arm caught the person by the chest, stopping him from going further. "Tell me what is going on!" He demanded in a slightly deeper voice that took him off guard. The human male looked down at him with wide eyes, "Y-You're him! Y-You're the one!"
Riddle was getting annoyed now, "Who am I!?"
The man backed away, pointing like the mother had. "The evil one said he wouldn't stop until Crowley gave your destiny to him! H-He's here to destroy everything because of you!" What kind of world had Riddle ended up in? Why would the headmaster be so protective over Riddle to stop the pair from being together? What year was this!?

Malleus sat in front of his mirror, adjusting his makeup, before leaning back in his chair, pleased with himself. Despite the fact that he was going to transform, he wanted to look good for when he shifted back. A date, huh? He thought, amused by the very idea. He would have considered it a silly thing a few years ago but now, he looked forward to it. He'd even magicked a crystal flower for the occasion, knowing it wasn't a special night but wanting to impress regardless. The flower was a rose, his own personal favourite and a flower of significance to Riddle as well. Yet this one was made entirely of black quartz, violets and blues catching when it was turned in the light.
When it was time, he concealed the flower in a pocket dimension before shifting, this form being of a young boy. Maybe he could bother Riddle into submission with all his questions and teasing. It didn't take long to get into town either, Malleus deciding not to walk and instead teleport. He was quick to arrive at the clock tower but cursed under his breath as he saw he was a few minutes late. Yet no matter where he looked, he couldn't find Riddle anywhere. Where was he?
Black wings thundered across the sky, each beat sending current of wind downwards and as he dove, it caused the townspeople to scream once more. It was an exercise of attrition, one he did only because he knew the school would bend eventually. Yet the attack continued, a torrent of green fire streaming from his mouth and lighting the houses below on fire. His long black hair blew in the wind, the high heeled boots clicking as he walked to the edge of the clock tower.
"This can't be permitted. It goes against your very natures."
"You each have your own destiny, Malleus. Riddle must live out his."
"Lilia, I need you."
A defening roar echoed, terrifying everyone but it was all a show, a game, one that he was willing to play until he won. The wings on his back shifted and he saw Lilia let out another torrent of fire, uncaring of the ones who died in the flames. There was certainly a part of him that enjoyed this but lately, he had become numb to it.
As his eyes scanned the town, he spotted a shockingly familiar head of red hair and instinct took over. Immediately, he was on the ground, weapon in hand. How dare anyone speak to him, especially a pathetic human? It only took a split second for his weapon to be through the man's chest, killing him, his body collapsing onto the ground. Red dripped from the sharp needle tip but he wasn't paying attention as his eyes landed on his lover, his obsession. He couldn't control the softening of his expression as he stepped closer, ignoring the body on the ground and the screams around them. "This is certainly a surprise, my love." But he was most definitely happy with it. "I hadn't thought you would be able to escape on your own, with the seals those disgusting humans put upon you."
A hand reached out, no longer gloved but bare, his nails longer and black. The back of his hand brushed against Riddle's cheek, relief flooding him. "Now we can finally be together, as we were meant to be."

"I don't understand, how is this happening." Riddle backed up, the man staring but looking like he wanted to run as well. Putting hands on either side of his head, he couldn't control the panic rising in him. "This was supposed to be a wish!"
"A wish? Listen, this is reality and you're- Ugah!-" Riddle heard the sound of the man's struggle and turned in time to see, to his horror, a bloody blade coming out of the man's chest and two large wings behind the fallen human. The man looked to Riddle, then down at his chest, blood began to spill from his mouth and the blade was ripped out again, allowing him to fall to the ground. Riddle felt like screaming, he had never seen someone's face when they were dying and the moment nearly broke him. His knees began to tremble and it took a great amount of will power to keep upright, even when the man fell to the ground and he was able to see the face of the one who did it. Eyes locked on his, a dangerous stare that threatened to devour him whole, Riddle was taller now but felt small compared to the king in front of him, reaching towards him, touching his face with a softening expression. He heard him speak but to Riddle, this wasn't Malleus, at least he hoped it wasn't. The way he looked at Riddle, it was less of the loving side he was used to and more of something dark, something villainous. Riddle stepped back, ignoring the screaming, the fire, the chaos around them, all he knew in his heart was if Malleus got him, his freedom would be in question. They should have never stopped the king from being with his queen.
The world went sideways and a building in the distance exploded, a green fireball igniting the sky. BONG! What was that? BONG! Riddle looked around, his hands clasping either side of his ears to muffle the intense sound. BONG! He stepped back and felt his foot touch nothing. He then realized that the Malleus in front of him, the entire town was gone and he was facing a brightly lit clock face, and his foot had just stepped off of the edge. Riddle let out a shout and threw himself forward, it was enough to grab hold of something but his balance was still off. He could feel the edge of the clock tower scrape his leg, cutting open his pants as the brick dug into his calf. Clinging onto one of the letters for six, he held on while scrambling to pull himself up. A bird flew by and his heart jumped, he was high up and up here, the night seemed a lot colder. Once he retrieved his balance, Riddle pulled himself into a crouched position, his hands clutching the number so tightly he felt like the metal was going to cut into his palms. "H-Help!" He called out from the highest point in the town. But no one was looking, no one would see him up here. Yet this gave him a moment to realise he was back to his original state, his hair was short again and his height was questionable. Whatever magic was used on him transported him into some future state and pulled him back before fate could change. He thought back to the look in Malleus' eyes, the expression on the strangers face when he told Riddle that Crowley had kept Malleus from taking him from his story. Was this the freedom they spoke of? "Help!" Riddle called out once again into the night but he could only feel his voice being carried away by the wind. Wait- wind. Glancing below, it didn't look like anyone was down there, so with a trembling hand, frozen by the night air, Riddle cast his axe to his side but when it appeared in his outstretched hand, he let it drop. A couple seconds it took to fall to the ground and when it did, the crash into the stone echoed across the area.
